Doing regular dental checks, scaling and polishing are vital in maintaining your pets’ oral health. Our iM3 GS Elite is specialised for veterinary dentistry, enabling us to provide thorough scaling and polishing services to your pets. 

Regular dental cleaning enables us to keep your pet’s teeth in good shape. Without regular maintenance, by the time you notice that your pet’s teeth are wobbly or totally covered in calculus, the teeth may already be severely decayed and would unfortunately require extractions to prevent further infection and oral pain. 

All dental procedures are done under general anaesthesia to minimise stress to the patient and ensure that your pet gets a thorough dental cleaning. Most of the dental pathology lies underneath the gum line and only while your pet is asleep, would we be able to safely and effectively scale away all that calculus from under the gums. All pets are given IV fluid therapy and have comprehensive anaesthetic monitoring to ensure their safety throughout the entire procedure. If your pet requires multiple extractions, we routinely use local anaesthetic dental nerve blocks to help with intra and post-operative pain relief so that your pet can have a speedy and comfortable recovery. 

If your pet is a senior, do not worry. You can book an appointment with one of our vets for a pre-dental consultation first. The vet will do a physical examination and recommend blood tests to assess your pet’s health and dental condition before discussing if your pet is a suitable candidate for the procedure.
